you climb the three highest peaks of the Monts du Cantal. The routes
include spectacular ridge walking with breathtaking views across
the valleys on either side.
This holiday features some of the longer walks of our holidays,
but any moderate walker will be up to the challenge.

On
arriving at Vic sur Cère station, you will be met
by our representative who will take you to our base hotel.
The following morning, after breakfast, our representative
will brief you with detailed route notes and up to date
reports on local conditions.
We
propose an excellent circular walk through meadows and
woodlands to the unmissable Puy Mary (1,783m). Returning
on a ridge path via the Puy Chavaroche you have spectacular
views to both sides.
A
varied day’s walk to the small village of St Jacques
des Blats. There are no steep climbs except the final
200m to the summit of the Puy Griou. A shorter alternative
is available but we recommend doing the whole walk for
a thoroughly enjoyable day.
A
longer day today and a pleasant walk across varied terrain and
altitudes. Part of the route follows the ridges along a roman
road (now forming part of a Grande Randonnée) with some
fine views across the valleys.
A
good base for walking to neighbouring villages. Enjoy
the hotel’s indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna
and bar.
After
breakfast, our representative will take you to the railway station
for your journey home.
