The route to
Burgundy is mostly motorway. Tell us if you want to stop overnight
on the way and we will arrange accommodation for you.
For self-drive holidays, both the Through the Vineyards and the
Burgundy Made Easy walking holidays start from Chagny.
The price for self drive travel is based on 2 people driving to
the base hotel, crossing the channel by ferry or tunnel. A reduction
of £50 per car is available where 4 or more people share one
car.
There are 4
Eurotunnel departures every hour in peak periods. If you would like
to upgrade to Flexplus the supplement is £90 per car.

& O Ferries departures from Dover are approximately every 45
minutes.

you can make your own travel arrangements to reach the base hotel.

Travel from
either London or Ashford direct to Paris. Change in Paris for your
train to Burgundy.
The Through the Vineyards walking holiday starts from Chagny and
the transfer time from the railway station in Chalon sur Saône
to the hotel in Chagny is 20 minutes.
The Burgundy Made Easy holiday starts from St Denis de Vaux. The
transfer time from the railway station in Chalon sur Saône
to the base hotel in St Denis de Vaux is 15 minutes.
The holiday price includes standard class Eurostar and French train
tickets from the London or Ashford to your holiday destination.

Arrange your
own flights to France.
The nearest airport is Lyon which has daily flights from many UK
airports. Alternatively fly to St Etienne or Paris.
We can arrange your onward travel by train to Chalon sur Saône.
The transfer time from the railway station in Chalon sur Saône
to the base hotel for the Burgundy Made Easy holiday in St Denis
de Vaux is 15 minutes and to Chagny for the Through the Vineyards
holiday is 20 minutes.
Easyjet run daily flights from Stansted to Lyon and from Liverpool,
Luton and Newcastle to Paris. Ryanair run daily flights from Stansted
to St Etienne.
British Airways and Air France also operate frequent scheduled services
to Paris and Lyon.
The flight times and French train connections are shown as a guide
to help you decide the route best suited to you.
Allow 2-3 hours from the arrival of your flight to the departure
time of the train.
