Head out to the mountains and the ski stations around Mont d’Or and admire the spectacular views from the high ridges to the summit.
Walk the tranquil lakeside path on the banks of Lac St Point.
Cross the border into Switzerland on one walk - so remember your passport!

Day 1: Arrive at Malbuisson

On arrival at the railway station our representative will take you to your hotel. The hotel is on the banks of Lac St Point and most rooms face the lake. Choose to eat in either of the hotel’s two restaurants.

Day 2: Malbuisson
15kms

Uphill in the morning to the hills above the lake. Then drop down to the lakeside villages for lunch, returning along the scenic lakeside path.

Day 3: Malbuisson - Jougne
12kms

Climb gently from the lake through fields and woods dotted with pine trees, along rocky tracks and paths to the mountain station of Jougne.

Day 4: Jougne
7 kms

A circular walk around the flanks of Mont d’Or. The mountain towers above, while the path gives spectacular views across the valleys below.

Day 5: Jougne - Metabief
13kms

An unmissable walk, including part of the GR5 path, to the summit of Mont d’Or and along the cliff-edge path to Le Morond.
The day includes fantastic views on all sides and a brief incursion into Switzerland.

Day 6: Metabief - Malbuisson
14kms

A walk partly on backroads and tracks downhill to the banks of the Doubs River and the Lac de Remoray. Spot the birds and animals that live in the reeds and marshes around the lake. Then back to Malbuisson and the banks of Lac St Point.
